Games and An Omen

July 8th is Video Games Day. I plan on celebrating by playing my Wii, Intelevision and a variety of other computer games.

1969- Thor Heyerdahl and his raft Ra II lands in Barbados.  1951- Paris celebrated its 2,000th birthday. Some believe that it is even 250 years older than that as  ‘Ile de la Cite’. 1918- Hemingway wounded saving a fellow soldier during WWI.  1835- The (second) Liberty Bell cracked (probably) during the a ringing in honor of the death of Chief Justice John Marshall. (The ‘original’ Liberty Bell cracked during a test ringing before it was even placed in its permanent home. ) 1796- The first passport was issued by the US State Department.  1776- The Liberty Bell rings to alert all residents of the first public reading of The Declaration of Independence.

1961-country singer, Toby Keith; 1951-Footloose actor, Kevin Bacon;  1951-The Addams Family actress, Anjelica Huston; 1949-chef, Wolfgang Puck; 1935-Go Away Little Girl singer, Steve Lawrence; 1931- You Don’t Know Me singer, Jerry Vale; 1908-Vice President, Nelson Rockefeller; 1908-aeronautical engineer, Ferdinand von Zeppelin.

I will do my best to review this comment and add it as soon as possible. Sorry, but if it is mean, crude, disgusting or irrelevant I can't post it. Remember we are supposed to be celebrating not dragging people down.
