IT'S MOTHER'S DAY

After not wearing socks yesterday in honor of No Socks Day, Please feel free to honor Lost Sock Memorial Day. In tribute, you should stand in front of your washer and dryer with all of the single socks in your sock drawer and place them around your machines. The sock monster will take over from there. Any left tomorrow should be taken into the volunteer service and turned into dusters.

In honor of the completion of the first transcontinental railway system on this day in 1869, we honor National Train Day. In honor, today I will vividly recall the time that I drove a steam train at Rail City, a splendid ‘amusement park’ that my grandmother lived near (practically on). Her boyfriend was the engineer, she ran a diner and along with friends, owned one of the fire trucks at the Rail City Volunteer Fire Department (more on that another day). The motto of the day: Think Trains.
